GOD is NOTHING ???

Those are just some of the simplest implications that arise when asserting that the universe was created from nothing but these considerations only scratch the surface of possibilities. In fact the possibilities are literally endless. What is interesting to me is the heat and rancor displayed when arguing which hypothesis is correct. It reminds me of the silly old futile debate of how many angels reside on the head of a pin? Arguing which hypothesis may be correct seems just as futile and pointless to me until some testable predictions can be made.
In fact the debate takes on fanatical religious overtones. Not surprising since if you accept the hypothesis that something can created “from” nothingness then anything including GOD can be created from nothingness. Hence the debate is actually religious in nature filled with “true believers“, dogma, and even prophets. In this sense GOD would just be a word to describe another potential universe. GOD may even be a fundamental but unmeasurable property of our universe. Again, in this sense, GOD would truly be out of time or eternal. Perhaps you could even say GOD is nothing! Thus all the religious rancor and the horrific wars and torture justified in the name of GOD are all for nothing.
I’ll close now with these thoughts. If a universe or GOD can be created from nothing then perhaps this has occurred more than once. Thus there may be many independent gods each of which may be unaware of the others. Possibly there may be an infinite number of such “beings”. Potentially there may be universes that have the equivalent of multiple numbers of gods, who knows? Finally it seems to me that the rancor exhibited by various religions towards each other and towards atheists is unjustified. And just as unjustified is the rancor of atheists toward not just religion but towards even the concept of GOD. What atheists tend to forget is that logically their postulates (or beliefs) on the existence of GOD are just as illogical as the belief in GOD. Both can be described as a matter of faith! And arguing the various merits of each faith has as much purpose as arguing about angels on a pin.
